* Create A Foundation of Color

While no one likes to choose paint colors, tape, trim and paint, it is the basic necessity for a good, solid foundation.

The first step in choosing a paint color is to look around your room and choose a color from artwork, an area rug, or upholstery. Remember, that the color will surround you, so be careful not to go too intense or shocking. Reds, yellows and oranges tend to be warm colors that excite and titillate your senses (and your appetite!). Blues, greens and taupe/browns are calming colors that will soothe your senses.

* Create Drama With Window Treatments

While off-the-rack treatments can be mundane and boring, it is easy to create stunning treatments with a custom look using basic window panels. * Change Upholstery Accents
